de Graaff Lift and Escalator Consultancy (the original consultancy practice) was formed by the founder Theo de Graaff in 1976, and quickly established itself as a leading contender in the specialist field of vertical transportation.

The practice quickly grew with the introduction of Ken Williams and Peter Davies in 1984, and the emergence of the now well known de Graaff & Partners.

With the wealth of experience obtained from the three Partners it was not long before the existing Client portfolio grew four fold in as many years, but great care was taken to maintain long term clientele, and carefully plan and limit the rate of growth to a steady and manageable pace.

Theo de Graaff retired from the day-to-day running of the Company in 1990 and had already pathed the way for expansion and growth.

The business continued to maintain controlled and steady growth with the remaining two Partners until 2001, when Ken Williams retired. Ken remains a Consultant to the Practice.

In 2002 Ray Davies joined the Practice and brought to it 20 years of practical installation and technical expertise. The Company incorporated in 2003 with Peter Davies as Managing Director, and Ray Davies as Technical Director of de Graaff & Partners Limited.

After Peter Davies unexpectedly passed away in 2004, Ray Davies took over the role of Managing Director, and has since invested heavily in modern technology and systems, enabling the business to increase its rate of growth and take it forward in to the future.

The Company now employs several Associates, and has an ever increasing Client base.

Future projects include controlled expansion within both our projects and maintenance management portfolios, and full implementation of our in-house designed management database.
